USAI SUMMER PROGRAM

This is our second, and we are glad to kick off this Summer with our Summer Program, targeting Youth Ages 6-18. Our program is about Sports & Fitness and it will be an 7-week program starting on July 6th and ending on August 21st. United Somali Alliance holds events that stimulate the Somali youth and young adults as well as the older generation. This in turn, energizes them to become proactive in everything they do in their community and teaches them how to organize each other in a united matter. Click here to see Past Events

Summer Program Sign-Up

Here you can sign-up for the Summer Program if you or your child(ren) are between the ages 6-18.

Program Dates: July 6-August 13
Program Cost: $20/per person (discounts available for families)
Locations & Times:

Fridays: Reggie Lewis Athletic Center (5:30pm-8:30pm)
Saturdays: Tobin Community Center (3:00pm-6:00pm)
Sundays: Tobin Community Center (3:00pm-6:00pm) * GIRLS ONLY SUNDAY
Mondays: Reggie Lewis Athletic Center (5:30pm-8:30pm)

Welcome to United Somali Alliance, Inc. We, as a Somali people, have one dream - and that dream is to live peacefully and prosper. We value our religion, our education and our families yet we fail to work hard to secure our future generation from having any of those. Let us not be selfish and leave our kids and future into fending for themselves. There are many youth who are either on the streets, or have been misled through culture shock and their new environment. We cannot continue to be a nation of just poets - we cannot keep talking about our problems or issues, but rather we have to resolve them through action. We have to become a nation of activists. For 20 years almost, we have been left behind while other nations have thrived. We are all brothers and sisters put on this Earth in different tribes and nations so that we may know each other better and grasp a deeper understanding of each other. We have our work ahead of us - let us not leave out to pasture the physical, mental, and spiritual work that has to be done to assure our next generation does not have the same faults as our generation or the generations before us. Let us involve ourselves and evolve ourselves.
