Hashim Siraji was born in Mogadishu, Somalia. Hashim and his family came to the United States of America in 1995 where he resided from 1995-2004, and 2007-present. In 2008, Hashim co-founded Somali Alliance Against Tribalism(SAAT), and after a stint, moved on to Co-found United Somali Alliance in 2009 with Said Ahmed. He is currently the Director of Programs & Services for the organization and sits on the Board of Advisors. Hashim graduated from High School at Horizon Science Academy in Columbus, Ohio where he resided from 2004-2007. He currently attends the University of Massachusetts- in Boston majoring in Economics with a minor in International Affairs.

An advocate for peace and prosperity, freedom and justice, and self-determination and solidarity for all people living in the continent - Africa and where ever there is injustice. MLK said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

United Somali Alliance, Inc. - a nonprofit organization trying to improve the social, economical, and educational aspect of Somali people living in state of Massachusetts and abroad; volunteer for people who need social justice, I believe that in the 21st century, there has to be 21st century solutions to 21st century problems. We have to work together as brothers and sisters to resolve issues and live in peace despite faith, race, or ethnic differences - it should not affect our longing for peace and stability.
