Summer Programs for USAI

Somali Youth Summer Program (SYSP)
This is our second, and we are glad to kick off this Summer with our Summer Program, targeting Youth Ages 6-18. Our program is about Sports & Fitness and it will be an 7-week program starting on July 6th and ending on August 21st. The Program is Free of Cost throughout the whole Summer, but there is a $20 Application Fee for each child.CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT SYSP

Somali Youth Employment Program
During the Summer of 2010, we will be able to employ through Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD, Inc.)'s SummerWorks Program. Ten (10) Youths from ages 14-24, will serve as organization interns for United Somali Alliance, Inc. Handling office work, creating projects, to handling the Somali Youth Summer Sports & Fitness Summer program.

Some of the Projects include:

1) Researching Somali History (Taarikhda Soomaaliya)
2) Putting presentations together (powerpoint)
